The new system currently only accepts updates for hosts and not domains
as typically nameservers for authorative domains should not change as much
as a dynamic host.
The 2 most common/ easiest ways to update your host is either using the
dynsite software for win32 (follow the link on the left) - or using wget in
a unix environment via cron.
The default syntax for using the auto-update client is:
http://www.fdns.net/updateHostServlet?
USER=test&PASS=test&HOST=myhost&IP=123.123.123.123
If you specify *THIS* as the ip, the system will automatically use
whatever address the server is being contacted from for the update. This
will work very well for most users such as DSL or CABLE.
New feature
You can now optionally specify your password in SHA1 hash format. If you would like to determine
the SHA1 hash for your password, use the tool below to calculate it.
